Working on the Local Knowledge Swordfish project was an exceptional experience. The story that encompasses this fish – rising from the depths off the Florida Keys on a manual crank reel, harpooned in the darkness and successfully landed by two lifelong fishermen – all captured on film is nothing short of extraordinary. I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to fish with clients that understand the substance of what I’m pursuing. Ali & Rush hosted a spectacular weekend and I’m happy to have shared a piece of their story. This giant broadbill is the ‘fish of a lifetime.’
At Bluewater Movements, we go beyond delivering you an exciting fishing experience via the world wide web. We are also promoters of some of the most popular fishing tournaments in the sport. We organize a 3-leg tournament series each summer called the Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit, or PBSC for short, and a a 4-leg sailfish series, The Quest for the Crest, which is recognized as the richest sailfishing series in the world.

We offer the most affordable entry fees in the business, first class hospitality at all of our events and prize structures with something to offer fishing teams at all skill levels. In 2015, we awarded over $2.4 million dollars in cash & prizes to the winning teams at our events. We also raised over $50,000 for charity. And most importantly, these events are FUN!

SWGR Showroom & Gallery hosted a launch party to celebrate the grand opening of its flagship in Wynwood. Owner Dan Hassan welcomed guests who toasted the opening with cocktails by Miami Club Rum, SaltWater Brewing beer and Misha’s Cupcakes. Called “Fishing’s most street brand,” SWGR Showroom & Gallery features art and apparel for men and women, a media wall with original videos taken on deep sea fishing expeditions and a 280-gallon baitfish tank to showcase the under-appreciated pilchards.
